
Sh. Sanjeev Arora, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), has been involved in business activity since 1986. He has run Catalina Bay, a successful export-oriented apparel brand with textile manufacturing facility in Ludhiana under the name of Ritesh Industries Ltd with most of the exports going to the USA. In 2006, RIL diversified into the real estate sector and changed the name of the company to Hampton Sky Realty Limited (HSRL). HSRL is presently a listed entity on the BSE with a Market Cap of Rs.900 Crores.
Under his leadership a clothing brand “Femella,” was launched in 2008 catering exclusively to the Women’s apparel segment. The Femella brand is sold on nearly all online e-commerce clothing and apparel portals such as such as Myntra, Reliance AJio, Tata Cliq, Nykaa etc. including the company’s own portal at www.femella.in. The company has its own designing, merchandising, customer service & marketing facility in Gurgaon with an average growth of around 30 % annually in the last 3 years and has quickly transformed into one of the most popular online Women’s wear brands.
Most recently, in 2019, Sh Sanjeev Arora, ventured into non-ferrous metal business – Teneron Limited, a collaboration with Suzuki Motors in its Gujarat plant under the Government’s Make-in-India scheme. Teneron has recorded a CAGR of more than 50% over the last 3 years with projected turnover in FY 2022-2023 at Rs. 700 Cr.
CSR Activities Undertaken
A Charitable Trust, “Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust” was formed by Sh. Sanjeev Arora in 2005 in loving memory of his parents who he lost to cancer related ailments. Having seen his parents suffer from this disease Sh. Sanjeev Arora wished to minimize the suffering of the underprivileged afflicted with cancer. To date, more than 300 cancer patients have been treated at no cost, cancer patients once adopted by Trust are provided treatment throughout their life. At any given time, approximately 30 patients receive treatment because of the Trust’s activities. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust helped the Ludhiana District Administration by providing Ambulances, PPE Kits & Sanitizers. The Trust also donated Ventilator & Dialysis Machine to Dr BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences, Mohali.
Sh. Sanjeev Arora has a long association with and serves on the Governing Board of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. Presently he is Vice President of this 1600 Bedded hospital.
Sh. Sanjeev Arora was earlier a member of Apex Council of the Punjab Cricket Association. He is also a member of Ved Mandir Trust, Daresi, Ludhiana. He has been Secretary of Sutlej Club, Ludhiana, a prime institution of Punjab for 2 consecutive terms.
